I am researching my family tree and know that Ann Cragg born in Sleaford in 1820 married James Clapson from Barton upon Humber. I would be very interested in any information on either of these families.
Thank you

An excellent site. A very worthwhile enterprise and admirably executed. Well done - Sleaford should be proud of you! I hope the site will continue to be developed and extended over the coming months and years.

I have returned to site often. The reason is I am tracking down information on my relative who was a minister there in 1800-1905. This site has been a great help. Keep up the good work.It is appreciated very much.

What an interesting idea and approach to give a wide access to your collection when you have now premises in which to display. my only critism would be that artefact photographs could have had a horizontal and vertical scale so that some idea of the size cold be ascertained. and perhaps the site were found if known. Important with archaeologogical artefacts. I hope you are able to continue to build more details into the data base once it is completed.

Quite a web site most enjoyable..I was surprised to see in your virtual Museum a Horn used by my GreatUncle Matthew Rylatt when he was the rural postman in Sleaford I looked very hard at all the publications to see if Matthew Rylatt advertised as he owned a General store in Sleaford but to no avail! over all I do hope you can get a place to display all you have. Next time I visit Sleaford tracing my Rylatt family I hope to visit and spend time browsing. Again congratulations, very good Website thanks

Congratulations on your very interesting website. I have a particular interest in the town as I am researching the DAUBRAH family. Most lived in Heckington, but one a William Henry Daubrah lived in Sleaford. He was said to be quite a 'committee' man in the town. He married a Mary Jane Pullen in 1891,who died and he married his 2nd wife, Elizabeth Parrish in 1909. Apparently she kept an Art/Needlework shop in Northgate which, I believe, was still there during the 2nd world war. I really enjoyed working my way through this site.

Congratulations on the website. I have a particular interest in milling in the town. George Glenday, Miller & Baker, my GGG Grandfather and then his son in law John Bland are recorded in Trade Directories from 1826 through to 1842. George played an active part in the governence of the town and possibly built the Royal Oak Post Mill on Ruskington Road - He certainly owned it! From comparing modern day aerial photographs and old maps, I believe that the site remains undeveloped. If ever their are plans to develop it, it would be nice to carry out a form of archealogical dig so that I could have an idea of the size of the Mill, and also to see whether any milling artifacts remain in the outbuildings which may still stand.

Great website! We are sure that it will prove invaluable for researchers. Particularly liked the list of categories and periods as a rapid way of homing on to a specific area.
Will you be able to incorporate parish birth, deaths and marriage records on the website at some future date to help the geneologists?
Keep up the good work and we hope that you will acquire a "Real" site to complement your "Virtual" one.

Love the site. Let's hope you find a permanent base soon. Remember the museum from when I was a child and moved to Sleaford in 1976.

Well done to you all for the launch of the Sleaford Museum online collection. Very well planned and accessable, lovely photographs. Had a great time working on the project in 2002, good luck in finding permanent premises. : )
